THE NOUN
NOUN:- A noun is the name of a person,place,thing,quality,condition and action.
Noun has two types:- 1.Countable noun 2. Uncountable noun
1. Countable noun:- The noun which can be counted.
Ex. Veena, Girl, Class etc.
It has three types:-
1.Proper noun:-The noun which denotes proper person, place or thing.
Ex. Proper person:- Binay, Ajit, Nilu
Proper place:-Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi
Proper thing:- Ramayana, Gita, Bible
2.Common noun:-The noun which denotes common persons, places or things.
Ex. Common persons:- Man, women
Common places:- Town, school
Common things:- Book, table
3.Collective noun:-The noun which denotes a group of persons or other creatures and collection of things.
Ex. Group of persons:- A crew of sailors, A team of players , A class of students, An army of soldiers
Collection of things:- A fleet of ships, A bunch of flowers, A library of books
2.Uncountable noun:- The noun which can not be counted.
Ex. gold, water, oil, coffee, honesty etc.
It has two types:
1.Material noun:- The noun which denotes material.
Ex. copper, silver, tea, coffee, ghee etc.
2.Abstract noun:- The noun which denotes quality, condition or action.
Ex. wisdom, humanity, pride, bravery, childhood etc.
